Complex of the second stage of construction
The second stage of construction of port complexes in the
area of Tuzla dam will include:
The second area (the second stage of construction) Tuzla dam:
- A complex on the transshipment of metal - 2 million t/year;
- complex on the transshipment of mineral fertilizers - 3
mln. t/yr
- complex on the transshipment of forest - 3 mln. t/yr. Sanitary
cutting down of Kuban oak and beech.
The basic characteristics of the mooring front of the second
stage of construction are given in Table 10.

Port complex in the area of Tuzla dam is destined for the
transshipment of general (metals) and forest cargo, and also
mineral fertilizers.
The operating regime of complexes is year-round, twenty-four
hour. The maximum design vessel in the area of Tuzla dam with
dead weight from 20 thousand Vol. (11 stage) to 50 thousand
Vol. (21 stage).
Delivery and pickup of cargo will be both by railroad: metal
and forest cargo in the open box cars and on the platforms,
other cargo in the open box cars and the covered trucks, and
by motor transport.
Besides, it is examined the possibility of delivery to the
complexes by vessels of the "river- sea" type of
the parts of the forest and metal cargo for further shipping
for export. The distribution of the turn-over in the directions
of transportation is represented in Table 12.

There will be reception for shipping of vessels on the above
mentioned complexes with dead weight from 4,5 to 50 thousand
t, that caused by the sizes of cargo parties.

The surplus of ground is packed to the alluvial maps, for
forming of reserve territory and stabilization of ground.

Complex for the transshipment of metal
The construction will consist of the following basic objects:
- sea cargo front consisting of 4 moorages, including: 1 moorage
for access of ships "river- sea" type, delivering
the part of the cargo turn-over for further export of metal;
- railroad cargo front - intraport railway lines;
- open storage area;
- the covered storehouse;
- the quay track and back crane runways;
- the engineering shifting equipment;
- engineering objects and the communication
- the interarea motor roads;
- platforms for settling of equipment;
- administration building;
- Checkpoint complex
It is planned to use cross gantry of g/p 10-40 t or balance
crane, universal diesel trucks and marine tractors with trailers
for loading-unloading of cargo.
Delivery and pickup of metal of the open and covered storage
into the port will be by rail, water and motor transport.
5.2. Complex for the transshipment of forest cargo
The construction will consist of the following basic objects:
- sea cargo front consisting of 5 moorages for access of
ships "river- sea" type, delivering the part of
the cargo turn-over for further export of forest;
- railroad cargo front - intraport railway lines;
- open storage area;
Quay track and rear craneways
Engineering transshipment equipment;
Engineering objects and communications;
- the interarea motor roads;
Platforms for settings of equipment
Administrative building;
Checkpoint complex
It is planned to use cross gantry of g/p 10-16 t or balance
crane, universal diesel trucks and marine tractors with trailers
for loading-unloading of cargo.
Delivery and pickup of metal of the open and covered storage
into the port will be by rail, water and motor transport.
Complex of mineral fertilizers
The complex will consist of the following basic objects:
- railroad cargo front including the station of unloading
railroad cars and dead end spur;
- sea cargo front, including one moorage and coast mechanization
for the loading of ships;
- covered storehouse;
- transport conveyor system including conveyor galleries,
elevated roads, shifting , power-drive and tension stations;
- central control board;
- laboratory for the quality control of the mineral fertilizers.
The transportation conveyor system provides the following
options for mineral fertilizer transshipment:
- Wagon- vessel
- Wagon – warehouse
- Warehouse -vessel
- Warehouse- warehouse (cross transshipment)
- Warehouse -vessel + Wagon- vessel (mixed option).
For the system maintenance we plan to install workshops, administration
building, power facilities, utility systems and supply lines.
